“Explain this so that a plumber can understand it,” my media coach said. Well, my plumber is a highly intelligent, enormously capable, and skilled professional. Perhaps my media coach really meant that I should explain complex medical concepts so that even the people at, say, Paramus Mall in New Jersey can understand what I’m talking about.

So be it. My feeling is that if I can understand it, anyone can understand it.
